Berlin is standing on the cusp of a huge development boom: the construction of a total of 14,466 apartments was approved in the first nine months of this year alone. According to figures provided by the Berlin-Brandenburg Office for Statistics, this equates to 5,500 more than in the same period of the previous year.

Originally constructed in 1890, the building is now protected as a historic monument and features resident-owned apartments and a gallery.
The John Park residential district, with 89 units, is planned for a 3,500-square-meter plot at Scharnhorststrasse 30–32 in Berlin’s Mitte district, with construction to start in October of this year.
